Tucked away in the countryside of Great Barford, The Cow Shed is a cosy, down-to-earth space with friendly, welcoming vibes and a fun atmosphere. Think rustic charm, a cowhide feature wall, natural décor, and feel-good tunes playing in the background—this is self-care with personality.
I specialise in HONA Gel Prescriptive Manicures to help nourish and strengthen your natural nails, and also offer nail art and HD Brows for that extra boost of confidence.
Whether you're looking to break a habit and start your natural nail-growing journey, or simply after a one-off treat for a holiday or special occasion, you’ll feel right at home here.
Appointments are one-to-one and available Monday to Thursday, 6.30pm to 9.30pm—making it easy to fit in some well-deserved “you time” without the stress.
The Cow Shed Nail Retreat isn’t about hushed tones or spa music—it’s your place to relax, have a chat, feel good, and leave with nails you love.

I’m Lian—a 37-year-old Pisces with a love for creativity, connection, and a touch of intuition (with a few emotions thrown in for good measure!). After years in customer-focused roles—from hairdressing to banking, travel, and even medical—I found my true passion during maternity leave in 2023 and made the leap into nails. And I’ve never looked back.
These days, I’m a full-time mum by day and your local nail artist by night—bringing friendly, feel-good vibes to every appointment. At The Cow Shed, you might be welcomed by my little ones or our fluffy pup (she’s always up for a cuddle if you are!).
A few bits about me:
• I’m obsessed with Highland Cows—just take a look around the cabin!
• I love outdoor adventures and exploring the UK with my family.
• Gardening is my therapy—sunshine and soil make everything better.
• My husband and I are big NFL fans (Go Green Bay Packers!) and try to catch the London games when we can.
